The Seven Principles Workshop for couples is based on the internally acclaimed research of Dr. John Gottman as presented in his New York Times bestselling book- The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work

This psycho-educational group workshop has been offered across Canada and the US and has strengthened the relationships of tens of thousands of couples. It is specifically designed to help couples improve their friendship and learn meaningful communication and conflict management skills.

While the work of Dr. Gottman originated with the reference to ‘making marriage work’ and many of the Gottman programs still use this verbiage, we want to be clear that this everwell workshop is open to couples at any stage of their relationship, not just married couples. Whether you have been married many years, are in a new relationship, are exploring polyamorous relationships, are in a same-sex or heterosexual relationship, this workshop is for you!

This group will be offered virtually.

Couples will learn and practice research-proven tools to:

  • Make conflict work for your relationship

  • Deepen intimacy and build trust

  • Identify your solvable vs. perpetual issues

  • Strengthen your foundation of friendship

  • Collaborate more effectively to solve problems

  • Communicate clearly and effectively

The workshop will be led by Monica Dosanjh, everwell's Gottman-trained couples therapist with more than 15 years experience working with couples

This program is designed for all couples in a committed relationship including:

  • Married Couples (and all those who are in committed, married or otherwise)

  • Pre-engaged couples (those considering marriage)

  • Engaged or Premarital couples (those taking steps towards marriage)

  • Every phase of relationships, from newlyweds to senior couples

  • Those who wish to enhance an already "good" marriage or relationship

  • Those considering couples therapy but who are not "ready" for couples therapy yet

PLEASE NOTE: If you are dealing with emotional abuse, domestic violence or substance abuse issues, this program is not appropriate and we recommend that you seek individual therapy at this time
