How Generation Covid Is Losing Out

It’s no surprise that today under 30’s have a lot working against them. Just think about it – housing prices that require 6 full time jobs to afford, more societal pressures than ever before – our looks, our jobs, our love life all constantly under a microscope. Technology and the media have revolutionized the way this generation lives – it’s crazy. Now to top it off, COVID-19 has added its’ own unique layer of struggle on top.

You’ll understand more of what we mean by checking out an article recently published by The Financial Times ‘The kids aren’t alright. How generation COVID is losing out’.

It’s abundantly clear at this point that ‘generation COVID’ is at more risk than ever before of experiencing amplified mental health struggles.  While navigating the normal, expected pressures of life, they have been served a second helping of stress, pressure, and expectation, all thanks to COVID.

At everwell, we might not be able to get rid of COVID (we wish!) but we can step up to the plate to help those that have been impacted by it. If you are a College or University student (or a friend/family member of someone who is) and are struggling during this pandemic, we are working on a program designed just for you. We want to help support you during this difficult time and help you prepare for a future where your resilience, sense of self and many coping skills will propel you towards a bright future.

So for the COVID generation out there - to those feeling lost, stuck, hopeless – we’re here. We’re in this together, and we’ll get through it.

In the coming months, we will be bringing you tailored mental health support, offered at your own pace, in your own home at a price point that will not add to your financial worries.
