Jenna Pessot

Registered Massage Therapist, Certified Cupping Therapist

Growing up with a family very strongly embedded in healthcare and the dance industry, I truly appreciate the benefits of Massage Therapy and other holistic and alternative therapies.

I graduated with honours from Trillium College in Burlington formerly known as Canadian Therapeutic College with a Massage Therapy Diploma  in 2012. I then became registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) in January of 2013.

I love what I do and take pride in tailoring each treatment to fit each client’s individual needs. Whether it be full body relaxation, stress relief, regular massage maintenance, rehabilitation of an injury, Indie head massage or contemporary Cupping therapy -  I am here to help you feel better.

Q & A with Jenna

What made you decide to choose your current profession?

" I love helping people, and the feeling of accomplishment when I can help someone feel better.  Whether it's removing pain, releasing emotions or just providing a general overall better sense of well being. "

What do you like most about what you do?

" The same reason I chose the profession... I love helping people. "

What does 'integrated health' mean to you?

" Supporting and helping people in a "group" treatment setting; being able to refer confidently within our clinic and being able to communicate with each other. "

What do you think are the biggest misconceptions about mental health?

" That mental health "issues" are a disease or a downfall and that people with mental health concerns are weak. "

How does what you do contribute to better health?

" Full body relaxation helps with circulation which helps with whole body health.  It also increases serotonin and dopamine which are the 'happy hormones' and decreases cortisol which is the stress hormone. "

What do you want your clients to know about you and what it will be like working with you?

" I feel that I am very flexible in my treatments, open to any suggestion, and always wanting to learn more.  I enjoy feedback and am very communicative in return. "

What do you value most in a client?

" Honesty. "

What would like a client to say about you?

" I'm easy to talk to and non-judgmental. "

What's the one piece of advice you would give others about life?

" Hindsight is 20/20 but you can't change it, only look ahead. "

Full body relaxation helps with circulation which helps with full body health.
