Gillian Ferrier

Registered Holistic Nutritionist

I fell into the study of Holistic Nutrition after years of seeking the root cause and possible food related triggers of my own dis-ease. A lifelong advocate for healthy, clean, local and sustainable foods, I now help others find connections between diet, lifestyle and habits that may be impeding their health and preventing them from feeling good in their body.

My area of focus supports those with health concerns related to the modern lifestyle: digestive distress, poor skin health (acne, rosacea, eczema), imbalanced nutritional intake, disordered, emotional or stress eating, allergies or intolerances, poor sleep, mood disorders, as well as weight loss support for young adults and older. A professional actor for many years, I also work with individuals in film and other creative freelance or entrepreneurial sectors, including roll transformation and on-set nutrition support for actors.

Q & A with Gillian

What made you decide to choose your current profession?

" Holistic nutrition can be incredibly insightful to simply gain nutrition knowledge, or to improve overall health and wellbeing by connecting with your body, building intuitive eating skills, and encouraging a positive relationship with food.  "

What do you want your clients to know about what it will be like working with you?

" With a simplified approach to healthy eating, I empower my clients to make practical and intuitive nutrition choices that match their unique lifestyle and health goals. Discussions surrounding aspects of what, when and how you eat will bring to light possible adjustments that aim to shift mindset, habitual patterns and your relationship with food. Health issues and wellness goals are carefully considered to find an individualized approach that works best for your preferences and lifestyle, and - perhaps most importantly - are sustainable long term.”
